Hong Kong based pan-Asian fintech platform WeLab has appointed Bruno Lee, a veteran in the asset management industry, as its company adviser.
Lee will support the development of an upcoming digital wealth advisory solution produced by Hong Kong's only homegrown digital bank, WeLab Bank, owned by WeLab.
Lee will also provide advice to the company's overall strategy and expansion plan.
WeLab founder and chief executive Simon Loong said he is looking forward to cross-border financial management business in the future based on a combination of Lee's experience in wealth management and the company's fintech services.
Lee, who started work on April 1, previously worked at Manulife (0945), HSBC (0005) in Hong Kong and Fidelity Worldwide Investment. He is also a university lecturer and author, with 30 years experience in the industry.
The adviser hopes to reinvent the existing model of wealth management services with WeLab and support WeLab Bank launching its digital wealth advisory solution in the near future and provide a "brand-new wealth management experience for all."
